Caty Littlefield Greene was born on Block Island in 1755. She married Nathanael Greene, who became a general in the Continental Army.
Not content to sit home, Caty travelled to encampments throughout the war. Refined and genteel, she organized social events for the officers of the Continental Army, and became friends with George and Martha Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette, and others.
The lively story of her life as a Revolutionary officer’s wife is told by Rhode Island storyteller, Michelle Girasole.
