  • BI Historical Society Museum 18 Old Town Rd Block Island RI 02807 (map)

“Talking ‘bout a Revolution …”

Revolutions didn’t just happen in 1776. Block Island has hosted some of its own revolutions!

Join board member Sue Hagedorn and others for a lively conversation about activism from anti-war peace vigils at the Empire Theater to recent pro-democracy protests, the anti-moped movement, and land, the Great Salt Pond, and historic building preservation, wind power, affordable housing, the HUSTLE protests of Cutting Cottages, deer containment, and the building of the Medical Center, among other causes.

What makes for a Block Island revolution? What’s next?

Free and open to the public.
